Fire Suppression Course
-
This course is designed for the individual who desires to become a
certified firefighter. The course has three distinct phases: classroom,
skills and live fire. Following NFPA Firefighter I and Firefighter II
standards, and TCFP recommendations, our instructors bring a wealth of
experiences to the classroom. Something not gained by attending a computer
based course. These same experienced staff of instructors will work with
each student until they have mastered each TCFP skill.
The course is approved by the State of Texas, which is recognized by the
International Fire Service Accreditation Congress as an IFSAC state. Upon
completion, students will be eligible for the Texas test. If you score
above an 80% you will be eligible for IFSAC certificates, usually
allowing the candidate to transfer firefighter certification to other IFSAC
states. The certifications awarded are Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Hazmat
Awareness, and Hazmat Operations.
According to Texas standards, after completing this course, students must
also successfully complete a commission recognized medical training program.

- This course will help fire officers and aspiring fire officers to
prepare for a leadership role in today’s fire service. This program covers
all necessary curriculum requirements of NFPA 1021, Standard for Fire
Officer Professional Qualifications, and TCFP.

Emergency Medical Technician Course
This course is designed to teach students to become Emergency Medical
Technicians according to the National Standard Curriculum. The classroom
phase includes instruction on the National Registry psychomotor skills that you
will be tested on. Upon successfully passing the final examination, you will
proceed to the clinical phase. Prior to clinical phase you MUST have: a
criminal background check, proof of childhood immunizations: MMR,
TD, Hepatitis B, Tb PPD; Chickenpox and a 10 panel drug screen.
